The short answer
- Face feels tight after washing? Ceramide Petal.
- Shiny by midday, congestion around the nose and chin? Vitamin C.
- Dull, uneven tone is your main concern? Vitamin C, and pair it with a leave-on Vitamin C serum, which is where the brightening actually happens.
- Skin is normal and you genuinely cannot tell? Start with the Vitamin C at Rs.1,499. It is cheaper and it is easier to tell whether it suits you.
- Sensitive skin, or you react to essential oils? Ceramide Petal. The Vitamin C wash contains Tea Tree Oil.
Things worth knowing before you buy either
- A cleanser is not a treatment. It is on your skin for 30 seconds. Visible change in tone, texture and dark spots comes from your leave-on steps. A good wash is one that does not undo them.

- Both are sulfate-free. No SLS or SLES, which is the usual reason a face wash leaves you tight.
